Though not readily apparent, there is a diamond shape imbedded in the lines of this drawing, whose four quadrants are transforms of each other--reorderings of their tiles based on column and row exchanges. Those operations are obscured by the rule-based dissolving of lines in the basic geometric shapes of the tiles, which leads to new, emergent shapes.
